Mary Ann is President and co-founder of Truex Metier, a San Francisco based staffing and consulting firm. Truex Metier specializes in the sourcing and placement of positive, productive “infrastructure employees”. Her firm also provides positivity testing and training of her client companies’ employees.
Mary Ann is a certified, licensed life coach trained by The Applied Neuroscience Institute. Her research into Positive Psychology began with her journey to find happiness and the meaning of life. (See Mary Ann’s Journey)
Before creating Truex Metier and the Applied Happiness Foundation; Mary Ann founded Truex Associates, a staffing firm with offices in San Francisco, Palo Alto, San Jose and Newport Beach, California. Mary Ann was President of Truex Associates from 1983 to 1998 until she and her husband John sold the business to a publicly traded staffing company in 1998.
Mary Ann is a coach for Odyssey of the Mind. Founded in 1978, Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Mary Ann’s team represented California in their division at The World Competition in 2008.
Mary Ann holds dual B.S. degrees in Marketing and Finance from The University of California at Berkeley.
Mary Ann is a life coach for individuals, a positivity consultant to corporations (www.truexmetier.com), and a speaker and lecturer on "positivity" to groups and college classes. (see class schedules)

She lives in Belvedere-Tiburon California with her husband John of 29 years and her 13 year old daughter. Mary Ann and John are currently finishing a book scheduled for publication in 2012.
